This is the Mead Area

Mead is believed to be one of the oldest alcoholic drinks known to man. Mead is made from Water, Honey and Yeast and can be sweet or very dry in taste. You always want Mead to have an aroma of the honey used and must always have a good honey flavor. You can add spices, fruits, flowers and other things to a mead to change the flavor but honey should always be present in the flavor. Meads also take a long time to become an excellent drink. They seem to have a dry harshness early on that will eventually age out. So when you make that mead be sure and put some back to try several years down the road. There is now an area for making a simple dry traditional mead so check that out using the Making Mead button to the left. I do plan to add a lot more on meads in the future.
